Nana, this is a colour picture of Ghana in print. Nana’s powerful call to “duty” for every true Ghanaian is a must read for all. Such painful naked truths uncovered and shown you can do at least two things – stir up the true Ghanaian in you to continue the good works or roar out your shame and call you to repentance into good works.
Nana’s style of writing is so sticky that, every word pinches and sticks to your brain to give both humour and pain – humour of our “ananse” nature and pain of our backwardness in the midst of plenty. As I moved from one stanza to the other of the powerful “poem”, the background images of the talking drums carrying the half Ghana map beckon me into action. The drums voice out loud sounds of victory, victory which can be won if some Ghanaians stand up for the truth and hard work.
