Apagya Update – Concrete and Painting Works

15 October 2014

Dear Friends:

As a result of your kind donations and support, we are almost done with the Apagya project.

We had a 3-point agenda when we set out on this project:

a. Roofing works: To re-roof the entire school building which had the roof over three classrooms and headmaster’s office ripped off during a storm;
b. Concrete works: Repair foundation of the school building to arrest erosion (extended to include repairing floors of classrooms);
c. Painting works: Improving the aesthetics of the school by painting the building.

Roofing of the entire building has been completed. Concrete works will be completed on Friday 17th Oct. The first stage painting (external portion of the building) was done by volunteers on 21st Sept and the remaining painting works will be started on Sat 18th Oct.

We are on track to complete and sign-off the entire project by end of October 2014. We will issue a full report as a follow-up to the detailed progress report we shared earlier.

Thanks for all the support.

NAD (on behalf of Planning Team)
